Southampton mother of three Kate Pickett has given thank you notes a style upgrade through her letterpress company, Pickett's Press. The notes are printed by hand with custom-mixed inks on 100 percent cotton paper in matching fabric and color, using old-fashioned presses. Letterpress cards include birth announcements, invitations and personalized stationery. Notepads can be monogrammed, and the beautiful hand-drawn design can be customized. "Lacrosse sticks, scooters, hedgehogs, Dressen's donuts-you name it." says Pickett. A box of 10 heavyweight letterpress cards and envelopes are $40; notepads are $25 to $60 for $175 sheets. Check out her wares at her trunk show on August 18(1160 Meadow Lane), where a portion of proceeds benefit PAVE Academy Hatchlings, 30B Main St. Southampton, 283-4855; pickettspress.com - Cristina Greeven Cuomo

On Thursday night, Madonia Antiques hosted a trunk show for Kate Pickett the owner of Pickett's Press, a wonderful stationery company with whimsical yet elegant designs. One of the things that separates Kate from other letterpress companies is that she draws many of the designs herself, giving the stationery a personalized touch. Seen admiring Kate's beautiful stationery were: Robin Pickett, Susie and Paul Lyons, Pat and Linda Munn, Victoria Amory (who just got back from Palm Beach), Regina and Rainer Greeven, Polly Stevenson, and Cindy Witter and Jeremy Wiesen. - Alex Littlefield
